Well hello there faithful FARMHOUSE readers. You've probably been wondering where the hell I've been for the last 3-4 months. Long story short, I started a picture blog. So far all of the pictures up are from 2009, but I will be uploading the rest on a daily basis, so do check back often. Metal.

iPhone Adventures, Vol. 1.

Trying to change the blog up a little bit. I'll still continue to post more of the consistent FARMHOUSE originals (i.e. Trailer Tuesdays, Awesome Shit, Random Stuff, etc.), but I am going to cut down on the filler. It's kind of pointless to post here because lets be honest, you going to see it on Hypebeast or Gawker or NotCot or some other site first. So behold, the resurrection of iPhone Adventures. The concept started back in the beginning of 2009. However, this time I've converted all of my photos into digital Polaroids. Over 550+ photos, so I hope you like 'em.

Expect more original Farmhouse entries (videos, past projects, art, photography) in the future.

A big thanks to Jon and Meghan for hooking me up with these for my birthday. Jon's one of my best friends from High School. Meghan is Jon's special lady friend who works at Ammunition. The design firm that are responsible for Beats. Thanks again!

Dinner @ Flemings.

Helen and I went to Flemings for a little date night last Friday. It was lovely. We started out getting cocktails and some appetizers at the bar. Watched some of the Heat/Hawks game and took advantage of their 5 for 6 til 7 deal. Seriously people, get into this. It's amazing. Once we sat down at our corner booth, we shared a Cesar Salad. Their fresh loaf of bread with champagne brie and tomato chipotle butter was outstanding.

For my main course, I got the double thick pork rib chop, baked with apple cider, creole mustard, and julienned apples and jicama. It was exceptional. The perfect compliment of flavors for this giant, piece of pork that was still on the bone.

 

Corkage fee ($20) is where it's at. Brought a bottle of Merdian 2006 Limited Release Pinot Noir. Helen made a good choice.

For sides, we shared the chipotle cheddar macaroni and cheese and Fleimings potatoes.  The mac and cheese will blow your mind. The potatoes had the right amount of spice from the jalapenos and cream. You can't go wrong with meat and potatoes.

 

For dessert, the chocolate lave cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. It was as savory and intense as it sounds. All in all, I have to say it was the best meal of '09. Food Coma Status.

Only In LA...

A white Bentley car chase that lasted over 3 and a half hours through out the entire city. I first thought it was Chris Brown's dumbass, but once the dude stopped and someone sent a picture of him to the news, he looked like DJ Khaled. I really hope it is him, so 50 has more ammunition. DJ Khaled: We Deeeepressed!

EDIT: (2/10/09) Apparently, DJ Khaled is in Miami and the dude driving the car was some Pakistani man who lost his business last week. He killed himself with a self inflicted gun shot wound around an hour and a half after he stopped the chase in the Valley. For more info, click HERE.

If you are ever in SLO go to Mo's BBQ and order the Shredded Pork Sandwich. It's beyond good. To check out the rest of their menu, click HERE.

Vosges Chocolate Bars.

Yes, they cost $8, but they are worth it. They make mini bars too for $2.50 if you don't want to splurge. The one I had was the Barcelona Bar. It had milk chocolate, dry roasted almonds, and sea salt. Pretty much amazing. They also make one with bacon, pretty random, but I'd still try it.
