One Stone Event.

Helen and I are driving up to the farm later this morning for the One Stone Event. Like it or not cancer has affected all of use one way or another. Doesn't matter where you're from, what color of skin you are, or what God you pray to, cancer has most likely taken the life of someone you loved. 5 years ago, my cousin Nic lost his battle with leukemia. I never had a brother growing up, let alone a little brother, but considered him to be mine. We were super close and when he passed I took it pretty hard. Long story short, my aunt (his Mom) and my Mom (they're identical twins) along with the help of many others have put together a fun day for the entire family with all the proceeds going to the Central California Blood Center. Check out the poster below.

I know majority of the people who read this blog probably can't make it to Selma, but you can still donate in Nic's honor. It would really mean a lot to me and more importantly my family. Even if it's $5, every dollar counts. If you would like to help out, make your tax deductable check payable to the Central California Blood Center and mail it to:

Okay, we it was a great event. We raised around $50,000. What else is going on in your life?
