Saw this over at Switch's blog and it reminded me of actually seeing this news clip when it first aired while I was up in the Bay for New Years. Pretty tragic situation. I feel for his little girl the most because she will never have the opportunity to grow up with her father by her side. Oscar Grant was only 22.

they had the first protest last night. they were gonna march from the funeral to BART headquarters--but BART moved and nobody knew. so after a 4 hour peaceful march...a group of pissed off people started throwin shit at cops and attacked the cop car.
today's protest at the BART press conference is supposed to be even bigger.
oh and the shooter is under police protection and has had to move locations several times already due to death threats
yeah, the cop resigned yesterday.
Did you guys catch the comments made by Nia Sykes, 24, of San Francisco in the chronicle article? Talk about the definition of an ignorant fool. I wonder if this is gonna play out any different than all the similar instances in NY.
