What I Am Listening To, Vol. 3.

Misfits - Static Age.
My favorite punk band of all time. Songs about old horror movies with a leadman that sounds like a mix between an evil Elvis Presley and Jim Morrison belting out 2 minute punk songs doesn't get any better than this. This album makes me think of freshmen year in college drinking cheap Albertson's brand vodka and not having a care in the world. If for some odd reason, you've never listened to the Misfits, this is a great album to start with. A lot of people prefer Walk Among Us over Static Age, but I like this one just as much. Also don't be fooled if you see that the Misfits are playing a show in your town. It's not really them, once Danzig left that band, the real Misfits died, so don't even bother with Jerry Only's sad attempt at making a dollar.

Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death (Disc 2).
Just gonna say it now, I like Biggie more than 2Pac. I don't know what it was, but for some reason, I liked his flow, songs, and beats a lot more. My sister got this for me in 8th Grade and it's still as good as it was back in 1997. From the first track with Bone Thugs to the last track, I feel Disc 2 has a lot more stronger songs than Disc 1. You're Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You) is also one of my favorite Biggie tracks ever.

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP.
I remember getting this for my 16th birthday while in High School. Easily one of Eminem's best records, if not his best. I have some fond teenage memories that come from this album. Role Model might be my favorite track from Marshall. Plus the Ken Kaniff skit still makes me laugh every time I listen to it.

Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying.
I remember seeing these guys in New Jersey almost 3 years ago. They opened for Converge and Darkest Hour. I knew nothing about them other then they were an old school thrash band. They were so awesome live. Great stage presence, funny, and they could shred. This album is nothing short of how I felt at that show. Makes me want to start circles pits.

Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights.
One of my favorite indie rock albums ever. For some reason I listen to this a lot when I fly. Don't really know why that happens, but it's still my favorite album from them. Our Love To Admire wasn't anything special, in fact it was pretty tough to listen to. Hopefully their next album is up to par with something lets say is good.

Converge - No Heroes.
Not as amazing as Jane Doe or You Fail Me, but this album does have it's moments. Grim Heart/Black Rose is one of the best songs they have written in my opinion. 9 minutes of building "epicness." If you've never listened to Converge, this might be an easier album to get into because of the various vocal styles. Kurty Bear's tasty guitar riffs are ahead of the class when it comes to this kind of genre too. And Ben Koller's drumming is like a giant machine gun blasting through a solid brick wall, gotta love it.

T.I. - King.
It took me awhile to get into T.I., but of all his albums, this is the only one I really like a lot. The Just Blaze tracks are by far my favorites. The first 6 tracks are also great to listen to while driving on the freeway.
