Technically these happened on Sunday and Monday, but that wouldn't have made a clever title.
Miami Dolphins defensive end
Jason Taylor was traded to the
Washington Redskins for a second-round draft pick in 2009 and a sixth-round draft pick in 2010.
Jeremy Shockey, the disgruntled
New York Giants tight end was also traded to the
New Orleans Saints for a second-round and fifth-round draft pick in the 2009 draft. Out of both trades, I think Shockey will get the most out of it since the Saints have a such a great passing attack. Hopefully some more trades go down before the start of the season. A lot of training camps start today for rookies and the 24th for veterans. It's going to be an interesting season and I can't wait. The first real game starts September 4th on NBC when the Redskins take on the Giants.
